Successful Launch! Tuesday, day 4, the crew tackles the mouth of the Chesapeake! This Herculean event was created to help raise desperately needed
funds for Common Sense for Animals and create awareness for all no-kill, non-goverment funded animal
shelters countrywide. Doggiepaddle1200 is now searchable on all available search engines and now has several corporate sponsors . Common Sense for Animals was founded by Dr. Robert Blease in 1990 and provides a safe haven for thousands of abandoned, abused and neglected animals annually. Common Sense for Animals survives on fund raisers and adoptions to help feed and care for all these cast out animals, who were discarded like yesterday's trash. With no where else to go, these animals come to Common Sense for Animals for a second chance at life. Many of these animals come from southern U.S. rescue groups where animals aren't spayed or neutered and are treated like property rather than a beloved member of the family . Our team of kayakers have dedicated themselves to this event for one reason: their passion for ANIMALS and their well-being. Our boaters, willing to push themselves m What Can You Do To Help? 1. Monetary donations........... Any donation is welcome. All monies raised are going directly to Common Sense for Animals to help care for all of the animals at the shelter and also to help continue the growth of Common Sense for Animals. We are in desperate need of various items to help all our animals stay happy and healthy and with monitary donations this can become possible. 2. Endorsments............ Your endorsments are going to be a vital part of this event. By endorsing, you will ensure that our boaters have the best and safest equipment throughout this 1200 mile event. 3. Corporate sponsors.............. By corporations giving back to the community and joining our endeavor, we believe it will unite communities across the east coast and make this event larger then ever expected. I, Gerald Andrejcak, organizer and lead kayaker, would like to personally thank you for your time and patience in considering this once in a lifetime opportunity and ANY effort you set forth in helping us make this 1200 mile kayak adventure a reality!
